Fokker DR1
"The Red Baron"
Designed By Walt Musciano

Ask anyone to think of an airplane made famous during World War I and the dreaded red Fokker DR1 flown by the Red Baron, Manfred Von Richtofen, will immediately come to mind.   While younger modelers will remember this airplane as Snoopy's nemesis, students of history recognize that this aircraft and the incredible string of aerial victories it achieved, marked an important point in aviation history.   Black Hawk Models has brought back this great Walt Musciano design for today's modelers to enjoy.   The unmistakable triple wing layout and clasic lines are faithfully reproduced.   A plane built from this kit was the winner of the 2004 Walt Musciano Commemorative Contest.   You have got to have one of these in your hangar!
